2004 " Fall Malt Nutrine 1906 Calendar " lidded stein. This 11 1/2" lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. The 4th and final in the series. Artist Maud Humphrey (mother of Humphrey Bogart) created the images for the 1906 promotional calendar, from which this image was taken. Artist Jim Wainwright designed this stein to reflect the artistic style of the calendar. Fall is personified as a rosy cheeked maiden with flowing auburn hair, drifting amid a cascade of autumn leaves. The artwork is framed by a scene of golden fields lined with color drenched trees, surrounded by squirrels and acorns. The pewter thumbrest is engraved with scrolling branches and the pewter lid has a ceramic inlay featuring a close-up of the autumn beauty portrayed on the body of the stein. Individually numbered with a certificate of authenticity.
