Below are the results of the tournament:
A great start to our 2nd Tourney with a nail-biting hill match between Linda Morton and Stephen Marotto. Stephen, a favored, was unable to overpower Linda in the last game and Linda remained in the winner’s bracket.
Shayne Cote decided to try his luck following a great placement in the Joss Tour recently, but Ty Speedwell showed no mercy! Ty moved on to face Lorenzo Reyes and Lorenzo emerged the Victor.
Liz Taylor, met up with Tsephel Tenzin giving him his first loss, sending him to the losers bracket only to face his brother Choneyi. The brothers battled, sending Choneyi to try his luck with Liz. Choneyi came out blazing the first match with a 5-0 victory. Liz however, would not hear of it. Liz and Choneyi battled, playing a great Chess Match. Liz’s discipline and determination paid off with a First-Place Victory.

Every Monday night Rhode Island Billiard Bar and Bistro has a 8 Ball Tournament with a $20 entry fee at 6:15 and a dart league at 6:00
Tuesdays there is a Drop In Dart Tournament.
Wednesdays there is an 8 ball league, sign up in advance
Thursday is straight pool night
The 12th Annual New England 9 Ball Tournament in memory of Tony and Phyllis Costanzo was held on September 20th at Rhode Island Billiard, Bar + Bistro. The purse of almost $3000 was well distributed. The event was an awareness/benefit for the American Cancer Society and Roger Williams Hospital Cancer Unit both charities received $150 each from the players and the room owner. Players came from almost every New England State and New York. Almost every player left with some money in their pocket. A total of $1500 was added to the tournament by the room owner Anthony Costanzo III. We would also like to thank Budweiser, Iwan Simonis, and Sir Joseph Gloves for their support.
Billy Lanna a player who has frequently played at RI Billiard, Bar + Bistro both before and after Tony Costanzo Jr. ran the club said “Charity Pool tournaments are good for the game of pool and more players should get involved”
